Why installer authorisation matters
Only an OZEV-authorised installer can claim the Workplace Charging Scheme grant for a customer. Eligible equipment and technical requirements also apply. Always verify current authorisation and the proposed chargepoint model before agreeing work.
The usual process
First check the latest official eligibility guidance and apply for a voucher. If approved, brief and compare suitable authorised installers. Give the chosen installer the voucher code. The installer validates it, completes the work, deducts the grant from the invoice and claims after installation.
