Start with vehicles and duty cycles

Record vehicle types, battery sizes, daily mileage, arrival and departure windows, dwell time and expected fleet growth. This helps installers model the energy that must be delivered overnight or between shifts.

Use available power intelligently

Dynamic load management can distribute capacity across vehicles and reduce unnecessary supply upgrades. Critical vehicles, charging priorities and operational fallback should be agreed during design.

Ask for an expandable design

Compare the cost of the first phase with enabling works for later phases. Cable routes, distribution capacity, bays, software licences and charger interoperability can affect long-term cost.
